  • Business Intelligence is the department creating and maintaining the applications that will be used by the business (traders, back office, marketing, customer service, directors) to help them achieve their goals and carry out their responsibilities to the highest standards.

  • BI-Sports serve the sports trading team. We develop the probability models that are used to determine the likelihood of things happening within a sporting event. We create the technological infrastructure required to display this information on our website and app, so that our clients can place bets on them.

  • Key skills include:

    • Proficiency in C#/.NET
    • SQL and database management
    • Understanding of key concepts of probability & mathematics
    • Strong communication skills

    • Proactive and inquisitive attitude
    • A broad interest in / knowledge of sport

  • It’s a fast-paced & collaborative working environment where the team are encouraged to discuss ideas and work together to come up with creative solutions to the tasks at hand. We’re always looking for the best way to approach everything we do, and suggestions from staff on how we can improve our processes are always very much encouraged.

  • No – we provide training to cover the concepts of sports betting. A willingness to learn and good understanding of core mathematical/coding concepts and strong problem-solving skills are much more beneficial.

  • As a tool to increase efficiency of development, Spreadex staff are provided with GitHub Copilot. Use of AI to aid development and learning is encouraged, whilst keeping aware of their weaknesses and limitations. We have also developed some of our own machine learning algorithms for their standalone business applications.
