Our department develops and operates the trading platforms and front-end applications that power the Spreadex websites and mobile applications used by our customers. We also manage the physical and cloud infrastructure that supports the trading platforms and internal users.

Technical skills are important of course. Aside from that, we look for engineers that can find simple, pragmatic, solutions to complex engineering problems. The ability to communicate clearly is essential as you will be collaborating with other, non-technical, staff. Development teams take full ownership of their applications so an interest or desire to operate software in production is important.

Our environment is fast-paced, collaborative whilst individuals are granted autonomy to solve technical problems with creativity. We operate in an industry where efficiency and accuracy are critical. Developers work closely with stakeholders to create solutions that directly impact the business.

We use a wide range of technologies such as C#/.NET, Typescript, AWS, terraform, Kubernetes, Kafka, Oracle, Git and Azure Devops.

No, you do not need any experience but will be expected to build an understanding of the domain over time. Any interest in these areas is a bonus but certainly not essential.

We have multiple development teams aligned to different products, for example Sports or Financials. Within the department we have four development teams, a Platform and Devops team, and an Infrastructure team.
