- The accounts team are responsible for the day-to-day production of Spreadex’s P&L reporting. This includes the reconciliation of prior day trading positions, checking bank receipts and payments are in line with expectations and ensuring compliance with our responsibilities to the FCA and Gambling Commission.
- Alongside this, we also manage the Treasury services, invoice processing / payments, business expenses and production of monthly management accounts, which are distributed to the board.

- A role in accounts is an all-encompassing role, which provides a great overview of the whole business rather than just 1 element. We link directly with Back Office, Compliance, Marketing, IT, HR and Trading services which gives us a unique insight into how the business is looking to grow.

- Spreadex are always keen to upskill our staff and training will be available as long as it is relevant to the role. A good example would be accounting qualifications, which we have regularly helped support, while numerous courses are also available on our online training portal.

It’s a business which is growing, but maintains the feel of a business working together to achieve a common goal.

- We are always looking for team players and those who are keen to do all aspects within the accounts department. Doing cashbook reconciliations, processing invoices and reviewing expenses are done alongside managing prepayments and balance sheet analysis.
- A curious mind is also important to a successful career in accounts. Being able to find an issue is a primary process, but then thinking how the issue can be avoided in the future and what potential process change could be implemented would be a secondary step.

- No prior experience in the industry is required to join the accounts team. While it may be beneficial, if you have a willingness to learn then a lack of experience in this field will not hold you back.
