Throughout my journey at Spreadex, I have been privileged to be part of an organisation that is driven and has gone from strength to strength. Whilst the business has grown, so have my opportunities and my experience and knowledge which has been extremely valuable from a personal level. The office atmosphere is friendly, collaborative, and inclusive, and the games room and gym are all added bonuses that make being part of the Spreadex Team even more enjoyable. I have been at Spreadex for just over 3 years. I worked as an account executive for the first year, before moving into the role of a rugby trader, which is what I am currently doing. With the way sports works, no two weeks are the same, and I get to watch a lot of rugby which is great. The sports team is a brilliant group in the office, making it an enjoyable environment to work in. The role of a rugby trader also offers a good degree of flexibility, which helps a lot for striking a healthy work-life balance.

There’s always a good atmosphere in the office. The people here make it fun which gives it a relaxed feel. It’s great working with people who really know what they’re doing. I have always felt a valued member of the team in the five years I have been working here and the company looks after its employees very well I really enjoy how specialised my job is as a Cricket Sports Trader and how much work it takes to be an expert.

I’m 10 years into my journey at Spreadex now, starting as a developer and working my way up to Head of Engineering. I love working at a company where tech is at the forefront of the business and there is a deep understanding of the importance of technology right from the top of the company. The entire trading platform is built in-house so the work is varied – one minute you can be working on systems that process thousands of messages a second and the next working on a cutting-edge web app. The company is growing, but the working environment hasn’t changed – fast, fun and challenging.

Last July, I joined Spreadex to begin my career as a Graduate Financial trader. Since then, I have been lucky to witness and be a part of Spreadex’s continuing growth. Being involved in numerous projects from so early on, I can truly appreciate the commitment Spreadex has to its customers and employees. From dealing with market makers to diversifying our product offerings, I have been able to deepen my knowledge about the financial markets. The opportunity to learn and collaborate with my colleagues has been rewarding, and I look forward to what’s to come!

I joined Spreadex in 2021 and from my first day I have been empowered to share ideas and take on responsibilities that I may not have had the opportunity to elsewhere. My growth and development have always been a priority for management and Spreadex have facilitated my personal career goals by sponsoring me to complete a CIPD qualification. Spreadex has a real feeling of community, with friendly and supportive employees at all levels.

I am Spreadex customer service manager and I am responsible for the day to day operation of the Customer Service department and working towards our Customer Service mission ‘To provide industry leading customer service, supporting our clients and the growth of the business’ We achieve this by emphasising our culture of quality, decision making, creativity, recognition, communication and accountability. I joined Spreadex towards the end of 2021 bringing with me some 15 years of industry experience, with that experience I can confidently say that from initial recruitment to career development Spreadex is industry leading.

I joined Spreadex last October as an Associate Software Engineer, and I can honestly say I couldn't have asked for a better learning opportunity so early in my career. There's never a shortage of exciting and cutting-edge projects to tackle, and you're surrounded by a team of smart and talented people. There is also an inherent company-wide focus on quality over quantity, which has motivated me to do my best regardless of the scale of the task. My favourite part about working at Spreadex though must be the work environment. Everyone here is friendly and approachable, and going to work has never felt like a chore.

I have been working as a football trader for just over 18 months. It’s been great to learn so much about the industry and work with such a friendly and enthusiastic team. Following the world’s biggest sporting events and being able to discuss (and sometimes debate!) with colleagues makes for a very fun and varied day-to-day and generates a genuine atmosphere in the office amongst sports lovers. For me, this is the perfect role in which I can combine my passion for football and my mathematical and analytical background. Alongside trading, we get to collaborate with other teams within the company, which has allowed me to gain an insight into how the wider company operates, whether that’s testing new markets with the dev team, assisting the customer service team with queries, or discussing betting activity with the client analysis team.

I began my journey here as a Graduate Software Engineer six years ago, and since then, I've risen to the role of Software Engineering Manager. What sets us apart is our focus on important work, where every contribution is not only valued but also visible. During the last year I have been fortunate enough to be the financial trading placement student at Spreadex. The application process was smooth and efficient and made the transition very easy. My time at Spreadex has been a great chance to get first hands experience on the inner workings of the financial markets, working within a friendly, skilled team to provide customers with the best service possible. Working within a smaller company enables you to gain a better understanding of all the aspects of the business; I would truly recommend the opportunity for those thinking of applying in the future.

Working as a software engineer at Spreadex has been a great experience so far. The domain is challenging and that makes the work I do varied and rewarding. Despite only having been at Spreadex a short period of time, I feel trusted in the work that I do. Everyone at Spreadex is talented and friendly and I really like the collaborative culture. Whether we're discussing a potential new technology to use or pairing on a feature, the conversations are always engaging. All these aspects make Spreadex a great place to work.
